The Rotary Club of Anna Maria Island, Florida is the exclusive distributor of a superior quality 'Wheel of Fortune"
wheel with the logo of Rotary International in the center. We have named the specially designed wheel, The "Rotary Wheel
of Hope". The Wheel is 48 inches in diameter and is made with a top quality birch hardwood core. The stainless steel
ball barring center ensures an effortless spin and balanced action. The base is heavy iron with long lasting paint finish.
The logo and space numbering is a thick vinyl material for easy maintenance and long life. The Rotary
Wheel of Hope was designed primarily to be used as a fundraiser. The Wheel has 48 spaces or stops. There are also dividers
or cardholders that allow for 12 spaces, which is better for some games. There are endless ways to structure
different games to raise money for Rotary. The first game the Rotary Club of Anna Maria Island held was quite simple. We convinced
12 local area restaurants to donate gift certificate with a value of $50.00 or more. Is was not hard especially when they
saw a picture of the Wheel and understood we would insert their logo and name on one of the 12 available spaces. We explained
that hundreds of people would be seeing their names on the wheel. We displayed the Wheel in our booth and charged one dollar
per spin. Every player would win a chance ticket that would be dropped into a simple plastic jug corresponding to the restaurant
space the wheel landed on. At the end of the event we had a drawing for each restaurant. The winning ticket drawn from each
jug won the certificate. Some might think the game could be played by simply selling raffle tickets but
the Wheel draws people. They love to spin it and they were excited of the unknown result of the spin hoping the wheel would
stop on their favorite restaurant or a more valuable certificate. The result of our very first game was
we took in enough to pay for the initial purchase of the wheel! Our most successful game raised $2400.00 The
wheel's high visibility and simplicity drew hundreds of people. It promoted the Rotary brand really well and people watching
the RI logo go round and round left a lasting impression as well. Also, Rotarians who normally did not necessarily enjoy helping
at fundraising events really had fun getting people to spin the wheel. It helped bond members together and encouraged fellowship
for a worthy cause. The retail price of the "Rotary Wheel of Hope" is $695.00 plus shipping. No
taxes are charged for tax-exempt organizations. Bear in mind part of the purchase price is used for Rotary projects, programs
and charities. As a bonus, you will receive information on all the different games and ways to use the Wheel
of Hope along with helpful tips.
